Located off Hwy 80, between San Francisco and Tahoe, the Penryn Art Gallery houses a historic collection of American Ceramic Art, as well as a challenging display of Contemporary Art work, including paintings, sculpture, glass, bronze, and mixed media. Built into the heart of the Penryn Workshop, with museum atmosphere, the gallery serves as an educational site for school field trips, a venue for concerts, poetry readings, and installations, a showroom for visitors, collectors, and designers to expand their passion for art, and art collecting. Many of the pieces in the gallery are made and finished on site, so guests of the gallery can tour the kiln areas, the foundry, and the workshops of the artists.
